The word mundane is best used when you have stimulating conversations with a professor or politician.The whole reason for this is because the word is very formal and is not used very often
when speaking every day English, also most professors and politicians have a large vocabulary so they often know what you are trying to say.

My word is the exact opposite of amazing because mundane in a straight out definition means ordinary. Amazing is definitely not ordinary in any way shape or form.
I give mundane a three out of five stars. I say this my friend because the word is very stimulating but it would be awkward to use when talking to your friends.
